I’ve been trained to think I’m plain,
Clumsy, dorky and a little insane.
Not poised and not pretty,
And I guess I try too hard to be witty.
I don’t have the perfect body as per the social norms,
Personality, also just lukewarm.
Even the length of my hair is not up to the mark,
And complexion – a little too dark!
In my mannerisms, there’s no grace,
There are no distinct features on my face.
Looking in the mirror, I notice no glow,
Because I’ve been trained to find faults even in my shadow.
That’s not flaw friend… Beauty of nature that created you unique .. You are unique than others… So why then worry

Exactly! But like I said in the poem, the society has trained us to view those quirks in the negative light for so long that we forgot how to appreciate the beauty!
